W-Series
Industry Standard - Low Speed


The W Series contains over 15 capacity models, with head cooling by either your choice of water-cooled, DX-cooled, or air-cooled and oil cooling.
The W Series compressor is small and lightweight, maximizing use of floor space and weight per unit of refrigerating capacity. It is designed in a way that the capacity control is achieved automatically by an unloader mechanism that is operated by sensing the suction pressure.
The Mycom W Series Compressors are divided into 2 basic models, the WA & WB. The WA Series has a 3.75" (95mm) bore and a 3" (76mm) stroke, while the WB Series has a 5.125" (130mm) bore and a 3.945" (100mm) stroke. Each series is then divided into two types: single stage for high and mid temperature applications, and internal two stage, or compound, for low temperature applications.
L-Series
High Speed - Medium Compressor

The L Series is a newly designed compressor model that is capable of being direct-coupled to a 4-pole motor or engine to create a small lightweight unit. It is well suited for applications in the WB capacity range.
Compared to the WB Series, the L Series is lighter in weight by about 50% and provides equivalent capability, allowing for a large refrigeration capacity to be incorporated into a limited space.
K-Series
High Speed - Small Compressor

The K Series compressors are another addition to the world-renowned Mycom reciprocating refrigeration equipment. These rugged halocarbon compressors are of industrial quality. They are designed for use with R22 and ammonia refrigerants, as well as the new ozone friendly refrigerants soon to be commercially available.
The K Series compressors are competitively priced and suitable for both industrial and commercial applications. This dependable equipment ensures long life, low operation and low maintenance cost.
Smaller and lighter than any other compressor of its type, the K Series compressors easily fit through a standard doorway.
The Mycom K Series represents the newest design among the WA, WB and L series of multi-cylinder compressors. This series allows capacity below the WA Series.
The special design of the K Series allows direct coupling with 4-pole motors or engines, making it ideal for applications requiring small size, light weight and high speed.

V - Series
Mycro - Cold


The V Series compressors have the same standard characteristics as other Mycom screw compressors with the exception of the added variable Vi mechanism. Classified as a positive displacement rotary type, it compresses the gas by continuously using the volume change between two rotating screw profile rotors. Refrigerant is trapped in the clearance between the two-mating rotors thus increasing the pressure by decreasing the volume. The refrigerant is then discharged as a high-pressure gas.
Screw compressor models range from 125mm (140 cfm swept volume) to 400mm (5,760cfm swept volume) rotor diameter to meet all of our customer requirements (based on 3550 RPM compressor speed).
A newly developed Mycom "O" profile is used in the V Series screw compressors. This allows for higher efficiency to be achieved by reducing the inter-lobe blow-by gas. This profile also facilitates a build up of oil film on the rotor lobe surface by the circular arc profile rather than the conventional raised sealing edge.
The hydraulically operated slide valve regulates the capacity of the compressor from 10% to 100%, improving part load efficiency on the V Series compressors.
VR - Series
Gas Engine Driven

The VR Series is engineered specifically for field gas applications. With this rugged duty line, the VR Series fits perfectly into your gas engine drive package with existing application flexibility.
This series is designed specifically for field gas applications: An integral gear set allows for efficient direct engine drive. The shaft-height is designed to match major engines in the market. A low height design allows for a low package center of gravity, ensuring low vibration and better service space. A standard integral oil pump eliminates the need for an auxiliary pump drive and lube system. Side discharge port locations allow for simpler piping to oil separator.
VR series offers flexibilities for future change in applications: Fully adjustable internal volume ratios (Vi) allow for wide pressure applications. Three different selections of integral gears achieve maximum gas flow with available engine HP under various pressure applications. Hydraulic slide valve capacity control. Up to 313 psig of discharge gas pressure. Up to 85 psig of suction gas pressure. A displacement range of 200 to 2100 CFM is available with at least 18 standard model configurations.
C - Series
Low Temperature


Mycom is one of two screw compressor manufacturers in the world that offers an internally compounded screw compressor, which Mycom classifies as the C Series. This compressor is ideal for low temperature applications and is available in many models, making it easier to closely tailor capacities to your design requirements.
The C Series compressors are made up of a special flange and coupling, enabling both the booster and the high stage compressor to be on a single compressor configuration. This configuration makes it possible for the compressor to be driven by a single drive. Configurations are available from 100-mm rotor diameter to 400-mm rotor diameter.
From low to high stage volume ratios, the C Series compressors are adaptable for specific applications, thus reducing the initial investment. For use in two-stage compression, the C Series compressors offer a savings in: space, energy, cost.
Refrigeration Packages
Reciprocating Compressor Packages

Mycom's Reciprocating Compressor Packages are built under extremely rigid standards of quality control to ensure the best performance and durability. These packages are compact and manufactured of simple design, minimizing the floor space needed and the amount of time necessary for maintenance. The result is lower operating cost. Low noise and vibration levels eliminate the need for extra sound and vibration attenuation, contributing to additional reductions in operating costs.
The reciprocating compressors come in a wide range of models, both single stage and internal two stage (compound), and are applicable to ammonia, halocarbon, propane and propylene refrigerations. Not only do we offer a variety of gas type compressors, Mycom also offers compressors that can work in a wide range of operating conditions, enabling them to work in almost every required plant operation.
Screw Compressor Packages

Mycom has developed the ultimate screw compressor for the MICRO COLD screw packages. The V Series has many superb features that work together to obtain maximum performance, high reliability, and ease of operation.
With the exception of the added adjustable Vi mechanism, the V Series compressors are manufactured with the same standard characteristics as other Mycom screw compressors. I-Series

I-Series Compressor uses proven MYCOM technology to provide a low cost compressor, enhancing MYCOM's already extensive compressor line.
It is designed to operate with anhydrous ammonia or R-22 and is currently available in 160mm rotor diameter and 180mm rotor length or I160SUD. Other compressor rotors sizing will be available shortly.
The I Series compressor package can be designed for an optional variable frequency drive system, allowing the compressor to operate at peak efficiency. When this is done, the compressor maximizes cooling capacity with minimum power consumption. Operational speeds of 1,800rpm to 4,500 rpm can be achieved.
Refrigeration Controllers

CP - 1 Controller For Reciprocating & Mini Screw
Mycom's reciprocating compressors come standard with the CP-1 control panel. It contains many extended functions and is built with an easy to use customer oriented design.
Compressor auto staging is available with additional unit installation and multiple plant usage by cascade connection of controllers. External monitoring of the controller is available by using RS-485 communication.
Reliability is drastically improved by using electronic sensors instead of a mechanical pressure gauge and pressure switch.
The front panel display is improved for easy viewing.
More accuracy is achieved in the control and display by displaying the pressure and temperature digitally, instead of utilizing the conventional mechanical switches.
Using the "key lock" mode will eliminate unauthorized changes of settings.
The control panel utilizes a "minimum key" operation, making it easy to use.
MYPRO Controllers For Packages & Chillers

Mycom's products include a variety of microprocessor-based control panels to provide safe and reliable compression operation. The control panels named MYPRO, are provided on all current Mycom compressor packages. They can also be installed to upgrade existing Mycom, or other manufacturers', equipment to add years of reliable operation.
The MYPRO series control panels are designed in compliance with UL and CSA requirements. The panels provide safe and efficient automatic control and monitoring of the Mycom screw and reciprocating compressors. The MYPRO series control panels can operate alone or can connect to other MYPRO series controllers to form an integrated network.
MYPRO control panels offer a user-friendly menu-driven software to acquire data and monitor operation of the compressor package, calibration of analog sensors and diagnostics with the keypad and display. The controllers are housed in a rugged, splash proof steel enclosure for years of trouble free service.
